1. Overview

Stock-Dawgg™ is built on a single principle: your financial data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains what information Stock-Dawgg™ collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

The short version — your portfolio data never leaves your device. Stock-Dawgg does not operate servers. Stock-Dawgg does not store your data in the cloud. Stock-Dawgg does not sell your data. Stock-Dawgg does not show ads.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information You Provide

The following information is entered by you and stored exclusively on your device:

• Stock and crypto symbols added to your watchlist
• Portfolio holdings — ticker symbol, number of shares, buy price, broker name
• Alert threshold preferences — stock and crypto separately
• Dividend frequency preferences per holding
• Extended hours alert preferences

None of this information is transmitted to Digi-Dawgg Labs LLC or any third party. It exists only on your device.

2b. Information Collected Automatically

Stock-Dawgg makes API calls to the following third-party services to retrieve market data:

• Tiingo — real-time stock price data and dividend data
• CoinGecko — real-time cryptocurrency price data (true 24-hour rolling change)
• Alpha Vantage — dividend history and ex-dividend dates
• MarketAux — market news headlines and summaries
• Firebase (Google) — anonymous device token registration for push notification delivery
• AWS Lambda / Supabase — anonymous price alert monitoring service (stores only device token, watchlist symbols, and alert thresholds — no personally identifiable information)

These calls transmit only stock ticker symbols — never your name, email address, portfolio value, share count, cost basis, or any personally identifiable information.

2c. Information We Do Not Collect

Stock-Dawgg does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Your name or email address
• Your location
• Your portfolio value or financial performance
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Biometric data
• Cookies or tracking pixels
• Analytics or crash data

3. How We Use Information

Stock-Dawgg uses your locally stored data solely to:

• Display real-time prices for your watchlist holdings
• Calculate portfolio value, gain/loss, and portfolio weight
• Generate price alerts and push notifications
• Generate monthly and annual PDF reports entirely on your device
• Display dividend calendar information
• Display market news filtered to your holdings

All processing happens on your device. No data is sent to Digi-Dawgg Labs LLC at any time.

4. Data Storage

All user data is stored locally on your device. Stock-Dawgg does not use cloud storage, remote databases, or server-side data processing. Locally stored data is protected by your device's operating system encryption — Android Keystore on Android 10 and above, and iOS Keychain on iOS 16 and above. Stock-Dawgg requires these minimum OS versions, ensuring all users benefit from native hardware-backed encryption.

PDF reports generated by Stock-Dawgg are saved to your device's Downloads folder under Downloads/StockDawgg/. These files are never uploaded, transmitted, or backed up to any cloud service by Stock-Dawgg.

5. Third-Party Services

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. No personally identifiable information is shared with any third-party service.

6. External Browser and News Articles

Stock-Dawgg displays market news headlines and summaries inside the app. No external browser is opened automatically.

If you choose to read a full news article by tapping "Read Full Article in Browser," you will leave the Stock-Dawgg environment and be taken to a third-party website in your device's browser. At that point, the URL of the article may contain the ticker symbol of the stock being researched, and third-party websites may collect this information through cookies, tracking pixels, and browser fingerprinting.

We recommend using DuckDuckGo browser when opening external articles. DuckDuckGo blocks trackers and does not build advertising profiles based on your browsing activity.

7. Notifications

Stock-Dawgg delivers two types of notifications:

Price alerts are delivered via a privacy-preserving backend service. When you add symbols to your watchlist, Stock-Dawgg registers an anonymous device token with our alert service (AWS Lambda and Supabase). This service stores only your anonymous device token, your watchlist symbols (ticker names only), and your alert threshold preferences. No portfolio data, share counts, cost basis, or personally identifiable information is ever transmitted. The backend monitors prices every 2 minutes and sends a push notification via Firebase (Google) when a holding crosses your threshold. Your device token is automatically removed if you have not opened the app in 30 days.

Ex-dividend date alerts and monthly report notifications are generated entirely on-device and do not require any data transmission.

8. Children's Privacy

Stock-Dawgg is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through Stock-Dawgg, please contact us and we will address the situation promptly.

9. Data Security

Because Stock-Dawgg stores all data locally on your device, the security of your data is protected by your device's operating system — specifically, Android Keystore on Android 10 (API 29) and above, and iOS Keychain on iOS 16 and above. Stock-Dawgg requires these minimum OS versions, ensuring that all users benefit from native hardware-backed encryption without any additional configuration.

We strongly encourage all users to enable screen lock and biometric authentication. These features complement OS-level encryption and are your primary defense against unauthorized physical access to your device and the locally stored financial data within Stock-Dawgg.

10. Data Breach

Because Digi-Dawgg Labs LLC stores no user data on any server, a data breach of our systems cannot expose your financial information. Your data exists only on your device. And since we never share your information with third parties, you will never receive a breach letter because one of our partners got hacked.

11. Data Deletion

To delete all Stock-Dawgg data from your device, uninstall the app. All locally stored data — watchlist, portfolio, preferences, and cached data — is permanently deleted upon uninstallation. PDF reports saved to Downloads/StockDawgg/ must be deleted manually if desired.

Stock-Dawgg does not retain any copy of your data after uninstallation because your data was never on our servers to begin with.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, applicable law, or our practices. Changes will be reflected in the app and on this website with an updated effective date. Continued use of Stock-Dawgg after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
